Sandy: Left trail of massive loss of life and material across eastern coast of US

Super storm Sandy has left trail of massive loss of life and material and over the last two days across the eastern coast of US. The life was completely stalled. 


Overall, nearly five million affected by the storm and nearly a million people had to leave their home. Around 18 thousand flights were cancelled due to Sandy.


The U.S. Energy Department says at least eight million homes and business establishments faced power cut due to storm.


New York's underground public transportation in their 108 year history has the greatest catastrophe for all. The tunnels are flooded and all devices are to be cleaned before traffic restoration.


New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg said that for them it is difficult to tell when the underground transport will resume, but he voiced hope.


Bloomberg says that in most parts of the city to restore in two to three days.

The storm caused heavy snowfall on Tuesday afternoon in the mountainous areas. It is estimated that snowfall in Western New York State and Canada will increase.


But after two days off the New York stock market will open again on Wednesday.


NRI girl gang raped in UP

Foreign girl of Indian origin has been recovered from deoband area of Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh. The girl named Gauri Bhosle said that she came here from London as tourist. She blamed her driver of mixing intoxicating substances in her food and gang raped with his two friends.


The police has arrested a accused in this case and have sent the girl for medical checkup.

According to the girl, she started her journey from London on October 10 and touring Mumbai reached Delhi on October 15. Her driver Mukesh Tyagi took her home for meal feeding and mixed intoxicating substances in the food, when she fainted, the driver with his friends gang raped. Police is investigate the case.

15 percent voters have voted before elections in U.S.


In the United States 15 percent voters have exercised their vote, while 18 percent will vote before the presidential election scheduled on six November. Means one third of American citizens would have exercised their vote before election.

This was known by a survey conducted by the Gallup. In America citizens have the option to vote before election and for this different dates are declared by the states.

According to Gallup, a voter in every four said he has already voted. While other 30 percent will vote before elections. 

According to the survey, 15 percent of President Barack Obama supporters have already voted. 33 percent have indicated to vote before election. While Republican candidate Romni's 17 percent supporters have already voted and 34 per cent other will vote before the election.

Cyclone Nilam may intensify before reaching TN and AP coasts


Cyclone Nilam is expected to cross north Tamil Nadu and adjoining south Andhra Pradesh coast between Nagapattinam and Nellore by 31 October, 2012 afternoon/evening.
The Met department bulletin stated earlier on Tuesday, "The deep depression over the south west Bay of Bengal remained practically stationary and lay centred at 0530 hours on the 30 October, 2012 over the south west Bay of Bengal about 500 km south-south east of Chennai and 100 km east-north east of Trincomalee (Sri Lanka). The system would intensify further into a cyclonic storm and move north westwards for some more time and then move north westwards and cross north Tamil Nadu and adjoining south Andhra Pradesh coast between Nagapattinam and Nellore by 31 October, 2012 afternoon/evening."
The Met department expects "damage to thatched huts, trees falling causing minor damage to power and communication lines."
According to met department rainfall is expected to increase from Tuesday evening, with heavy to very heavy rainfall (25 cm or more) in the northern parts of Tamil Nadu and Chennai. The wind speed would gradually increase and may reach 45-55 kmph gusting to 65 kmph as the cyclone comes closer to the coast. This would prevail along and off north Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and adjoining south Andhra Pradesh coasts during next 12 hours.

Hurricane Sandy hits Eastern coasts of America


Super storm Sandy hit along the Eastern Coast of America bringing hurricane-force winds and heavy rains resulting flood and power cuts in large number of areas, bringing some of the busiest cities to a standstill and disrupting the presidential election campaign.

Thousands of National Guard troops have been called up.

Powerful Sandy storm heading towards North-Eastern region of America


After heavy destruction in the Caribbean area with the speed of 120 km per hour the sandy storm is heading towards North-Eastern region of the United States.

U.S. meteorologists warned that the storm sandy could be very strong and can damage a lot.

President Barack Obama has asked the Americans to take the sandy storm seriously. Then the authorities started preparations at the East Coast's.

Many States declared emergencies. Metro Rail, buses, school and air traffic has already been closed.

Many international and national flights have been cancelled. Air France, British Airways and Virgin atlantic airlines have cancelled their flights from eastern coastal cities New York, baltimore, newark, Washington, Boston and Philadelphia. the blow.

In New York City at least 3,75,000 citizens living in lower areas have been shifted to safer places.

In Delaware coastal areas 50,000 people sifted to safe places.

New Jersey authorities told people to be sure to collect stuff as per their needs because they may have to stay in homes for several days.

Located on the East coast of the United States, many States have declared emergency.

Warning issued by Governor kyumo said that better that people don't come out of homes.

IAC denied permission to organise rally in Farrukhabad


Farrukhabad's District Administration has denied permission for organizing rally on 1 November to India Against Corruptions. Angry members of India Against Corruption after denial of permission sat on dharna at the residence of city magistrate. In this rally Arvind Kejriwal was expected to reveal some more information regarding Union Minister Salman Khurshid.

IAC has sought permission to organise rally at Aawas Vikas ground on 1 November. Rally was to be addressed by Arvind Kejriwal. After denial of permission members of IAC led by Laxman Singh sat on dharna at City Magistrate's residence. They said they will continue dharna at City Magistrate's residence till permission is not granted to IAC to organise rally.

Sanjay Singh, in charge of Uttar Pradesh IAC alleged that Chief Minister is trying to protect Salman Khurshid. If he do not, then tell the public what the Government found in investigating against Khurshid.
